For 26 years, Haygood has joyfully partnered with Morningside Elementary School (MES) to brighten Christmas morning for children in need—and we’re continuing that tradition again this year!
How You Can Be an Angel
Starting Sunday, November 23rd, Haygood’s Angel Tree will be in the Gym/CDC lobby. It will then appear in other areas of the church until every Angel has been adopted.
Each ornament on the tree represents a child from MES (or other school age children in that child’s home) and includes:
Age and gender
A needs list and a wish list
A unique code to ensure confidentiality and proper gift delivery
To adopt an Angel:
Choose an ornament from the tree.
Fill in your name, email, and phone number on the detachable portion labeled “Adopted By”.
Hand the completed “Adopted By” portion to a volunteer at the tree.
Gift Guidelines
You’re not expected to purchase every item on the list. If selecting only some, please prioritize “needs” over “wishes” as requested by MES staff.
Gifts should be unwrapped and brought to Haygood by Sunday, December 14th during church services.
Please include the child’s code with your gifts. This is very important!
Feel free to add wrapping paper and tape to help parents wrap the gifts themselves.
Can’t Make It on November 23rd or December 14th?
No problem! Contact Jennifer at Jennifer or 678-427-1812, and she’ll provide you a child. If you finish shopping early or can’t make it to the church on December 14, Jennifer and her team are happy to arrange an early pickup—just reach out.
