Discipleship Cohort

Through a partnership with the Candler Foundry at Emory University, this cohort will consist of three courses curated to grow and deepen discipleship among those eager to learn and poised to become Haygood's future leaders.
Grounded in the church's mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, participants will gain stronger interpretive skills, a deeper sense of UMC identity, and a clearer sense of their call to lead equipped to witness to others through their words, actions, and faith.

The Parlor
Faith Seekers is a discussion-based Sunday School class built around one simple idea: real faith grows through honest questions, not around them.
Each week, our group explores a different topic: doubt, prayer, forgiveness, suffering, purpose, and how faith shows up in everyday life. Some weeks we follow a planned lesson; other weeks, members bring their own questions to the table. Either way, the conversation is open, honest, and grounded in Scripture.

Fellowship Class

The Living Room
The Fellowship Class is for anyone who wants to grow in their faith through structured, Scripture-based teaching alongside people who quickly start to feel like family.
Each week follows a guided lesson led by a rotating team of teachers, walking through Scripture book by book, topic by topic. Lessons are structured but there is plenty of room for questions, discussion, and real-life application along the way.
But the Fellowship Class is more than a lesson plan. It's a place to build lasting relationships. Members celebrate life's milestones together, support one another through hard seasons, and share meals, service projects, and social gatherings outside of Sunday mornings.

Worship Foundations is a 7-week study of the key elements that make up Christian worship: prayers, Scripture reading and preaching, creeds, singing, the sacraments, and the benediction.

The Conference Room
Join us for a five week class on crafting your personal testimony.
Everyone has a testimony, but we might be nervous about sharing it or not know where to begin. Over these five weeks, you will receive training and guidance on how to give an account of what you have witnessed God do in your life and how that matters for who you are becoming as a follower of Jesus.

The Angels of Christmas: Hearing God’s Voice in Advent, a four-week Advent study by Susan Robb, explores the four angelic visits surrounding the birth of Jesus with Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds.
