In this new year, we wanted to invite your child to serve as an acolyte and crucifer at Haygood. Our acolytes help set the tone for worship as they bring the light of Christ into the sanctuary and carry the light out as we depart each Sunday. Our crucifers carry our processional cross to keep our eyes focused on Jesus’ victory over sin and death. These two roles are special and significant to our worship of God at Haygood.

Your child will be part of a scheduled rotation. If your child is a third or fourth grader, they can serve as an acolyte. Our fifth graders serve as our crucifers. We invite your child to an acolyte and crucifer training on Sunday, March 6th from 12:15-1:15pm after worship with Rev. Zant and other leaders. Register here.
