Palm Sunday Parade

palmsdonkeyblank.jpg

Palm Sunday is the day Jesus marched triumphantly into Jerusalem. The people waved palm branches and lauded him as “hosanna,” the one who saves. To help teach and experience the importance of this day, we are hosting a parade over to the church for worship. We’ll have a donkey and other animals to help lead the way. The parade will be child-friendly and include singing, palm branches and simple instruments. We’ll have police officers helping us block the roads to keep you safe. Everyone in our community is welcome! If you are not able to worship at 11am, you are welcome just to do the parade.

We’ll meet at 10am at Sydney Marcus Park (786 Cumberland Rd.). We’ll have light breakfast foods and some time built in for kids to play on the playground. Then we’ll take 10 minutes to teach the story of Palm Sunday. We’ll begin the parade over to the church around 10:30 am.
