The I Am Poem
I am Christian and give back to my community.
I wonder what local organizations I can help.
I hear of my hammer banging against a new roof.
I see breakfast being distributed at a shelter.
I want to take time to assist needy people.
I am Christian and give back to my community.
I pretend that my needs do not exist when I’m coming to someone’s aid.
I feel the love from the people I have lent a hand to.
I touch the lives of others with my own two hands.
I worry that I will forget about serving all these people when I grow up.
I cry when I think of all the people in need.
I am Christian and worship my God.
I understand that part of being a Christian is to support others.
I say that others’ troubles come first.
I dream that the people I have helped benefit from my work.
I try to work as hard as I can for the community.
I hope that every drop of my sweat was put into making someone’s life better.
I am Christian and give back to my community.
