“PRE-BALLET”

AGE 3 & 4 (3 by December 31st)

The class is a structured program designed for the early development of technical ballet and movement. It precisely meets the needs and limitations of pre- schoolers by providing a carefully paced sequence of exercises to develop physical conditioning with poise and grace. In the program, children learn self- discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, left and right discrimination, patterns in movement, and pre- ballet. STUDENTS MUST BE POTTY TRAINED.

“TAP-BALLET”

AGES PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN (STARTING PRE-K 2011)

A perfect combination class. The class is divided with 20 minutes of tap and 25 minutes of ballet. Since ballet is the basis for all dance technique, the combination of both work hand in hand. The technical training is taught through ballet, which in turn helps teach the proper shifting of weight and patterns in movement for tap.

“TAP-BALLET-JAZZ”

1ST GRADE & UP

An exciting dance class that offers a wide range of fun and upbeat movement! In the program the children learn self discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, left and right skills, patterns in movement, along with ballet, tap, and jazz dance technique. Also in the program, students will be exposed to Broadway and fun “popular” styles of dance.

“JAZZ”

2ND GRADE & UP

An exciting class that offers a wide range of fun and upbeat movement! In the program the children learn self discipline, listening skills, coordination skills, left and right skills, patterns in movement, along with jazz dance technique. Also in the program, students will be exposed to Broadway and fun “popular” styles of dance.

MONDAY 3:30–4:30 TAP-BALLET-JAZZ (1ST GRADE)
MONDAY 4:30–5:130 TAP-BALLET-JAZZ (1ST GRADE)
TUESDAY 3:30–4:30 TAP-BALLET-JAZZ (2ND GRADE)
WEDNESDAY 3:30-4:15 TAP-BALLET (KINDERGARTEN)
WEDNESDAY 4:30-5:15 TAP-BALLET (KINDERGARTEN)
TUESDAY 4:30-5:30 JAZZ (2ND – 5TH GRADE)

More classes can be added if needed.

Tuition and Registration

Monthly tuition: $52.00
Registration fee: $32.00

Monthly tuition is averaged, based on 31 weeks of instruction. Monthly tuition coupons and a welcome newsletter will be mailed to you after registration has been received. Tuition is due the 1st of each month. $30.00 charge for returned checks. Late charge after the 10th (Oct thru May)
$8.00. Make all payments out to "Haygood UMC" marked "Dance."

The parent must make notification to our office if student drops out of class. All tuition and fees will apply until notification is given to CMD office. Registration is open through March 1st if the class is not full. Late starters are prorated. Payments must be TURNED IN TO YOUR CHILD’S TEACHER, PLACED IN THE DROP BOX LOCATED AT HAYGOOD, OR MAILED TO CMD.
