How to Give at Haygood
Stewardship is an important part of the Christian life. At Haygood we commit ourselves to living our faith through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness for the transformation of the world. A significant part of that commitment is how we give of our resources to financially support the activity of God, through the community of Haygood.
The Methodist Way of Giving
John Wesley urged those in connection with him to "Earn all you can and save all you can, so that you can give all you can." He modeled modest living and sacrificial giving. Wesley made sure those early classes of "methodists" took weekly offerings to help others in need.
Today, we United Methodists join others to help all of God's children…whenever and wherever we can. Just as Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes when the crowd grew hungry. Through our congregation, we are the heart, spirit and hands of God's outreaching love. Life grows here through the joy of generosity.

Scheduled Giving
You can create electronic payments through your banking institution, payable to "Haygood Memorial UMC." This is easy for you and also makes a regular contribution to support the ministry of the church. If you have questions, we suggest you call your bank for more information.
Giving through Sunday Worship
Each Sunday morning we participate in worship by offering to God our financial contributions. When we sing, pray, and share our faith, we also take a weekly offering to support our ministry budget. We always conclude the offering by singing the Doxology, our thanksgiving of the goodness of God.
Sending Your Contributions Directly to Haygood
