The Haygood Staff Team is here to serve Jesus Christ with you. We welcome you into a loving relationship with God, encourage you to grow in your faith, and invite you to live your faith in mission to our community and beyond. We believe it is our task to help everyone discover and claim their ministry as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Dr. Bob Winstead, Senior Pastor, leads the Haygood staff team. Rev. Eric Fessler, Associate Pastor and Minister with Student Families, is responsible for coordinating all activities for youth, young adults, adult education and our web presence. Dr. Leslie Blackwell is our Minister of Music, and leads the choirs and congregation in praise and worship.
Rev. Wally Rice is our Minister of Outreach and Congregational Care; Wally coordinates visitation, evangelism, pastoral care, and Wednesday Night Suppers. Rev. Ellen Hopkins is our Church Business Administrator; she is here to help you with any matter pertaining to church business and/or finances. Melissa Lerner, Director of Children's Ministries, is responsible for children's programs on Sundays, Wednesday nights, Vacation Bible School, and many other activities for families with children.
Ruth Sommerville is the Haygood Church Administrative Assistant, and she handles publications, correspondence, membership information, and building schedule. Jerona Knox is our Director of Recreation Ministries. Julia Rice and June Dunaphant are our taslented piano/organ accompanists for worship music. Tony Robinson is our church Custodian and helps to clean and maintain our facilities. Dorothy Arnold is our cook, and prepares the delicious meals for Wednesday Night Suppers, Men's Club breakfasts, and special occasions.
