Lent

Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. The word Lent comes from the Anglo-Saxon lencten, which literally means "spring." Lent is a season of preparation for celebrating Easter. The season is journey where we confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God within the community of faith. Often the practice of certain spiritual disciplines accompanies the observance of the season.

Lenten Devotional

Regular and consistent prayer and study is part of the Christian life, and is a central custom of Lent. The Lenten devotional Fellowship of Prayer is available in the church for office to help guide you through the season. We ask for a $2.50 donation with your copy to help offset the expense of making these available to the congregation.
