Disciple Bible Studies
About Disciple Bible Study
Disciple Bible Study was created by the United Methodist Church in 1986, and emphasizes disciplined study and listening to God’s word. It is our hope at Haygood Church that all church members, and non-members alike will prayerfully enter into these essential studies for deepening their biblical understanding and for enriching their faith-walk. Participants come to realize over time that the significance of the courses comes in “hearing” the scripture anew through study and discussion.
Each participant agrees to approximately 30-45 minutes of daily reading and/or preparation and to a weekly meeting with the same small group for approximately Two hours at the church. Commitment to study and regular attendance is essential. After completing Disciple I as a prerequisite, the advanced phases of Disciple may be taken in any order.
