Protection of Minors
Haygood joins in sacred covenant with all other United Methodist congregations in our support of policies and procedures aimed at protecting the young and the vulnerable. In order to fulfill the mission of the church - to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world - we have established "Safe Sanctuaries Policies and Procedures".
Training
The Haygood UMC Church Council has set the policy that all those engaged in ministry with children, youth and vulnerable adults be trained in "Safe Sanctuaries" no less than once every three years. Our training is specific to our denomination, facilities, policies and insurance, so training required by other entities is not accepted.
