How do I find out what's going on at Haygood?
If you read the Sunday worship bulletin announcements and our weekly "Horizon" email newsletter, you will keep up to date with almost everything that's happening at Haygood . Also, we distribute a monthly newsletter called the "Herald", which highlights important connections in the life of the church. (Another great way, of course, is to explore the website, just like you're doing now!)
How do I find a Sunday School class or other small group?
Haygood offers excellent Sunday School classes for all age groups. You can connect to a small group through our Adults, Kids, and Student pages.
What do United Methodists believe?
United Methodists profess the historic Christian faith. We encourage you to read more at the website of The United Methodist Church - or to attend our worship service or other programs and ask lots of questions... even the hard ones!
How do I get involved at Haygood?
Opportunities for connecting - from small groups and volunteer opportunities to missions and music - are open to anyone who wants to participate, members and guests alike. A great way to get involved is to visit Sunday worship or a Wednesday Night Supper, or drop by the church office to find out more about us.
What is expected of members?
Haygood expects the following of its members:
- To pray regularly, by yourself and with others if possible.
- To attend worship services on a regular basis and participate in the sacraments.
- To continue your spiritual growth by participating in a Sunday School class or a small group Bible study.
- To offer your very best in service to God and the church and steward all your blessings in directions that glorify God. Give a portion of your income.
